I achieved my degree in aviation management from Buckinghamshire New University, where I pursued a BA (Hons) in airline and airport management from 2022 to 2025. I received a 2:1 degree classification and was honoured to be awarded valedictorian during my stay at BNU. I am currently an aspiring aviation professional with practical experience in ground operations and customer service, as well as leadership positions like Student Ambassador for the University and Student Trustee at the Bucks Students' Union. I have a keen interest in digital innovation and customer experience in aviation. I have currently secured a role with British Airways Euroflyer as Cabin Crew.

What are your memories of being a student at BNU?
I have positive and influential memories of my time as a student at BNU. I recall a very practical learning atmosphere that directly connected theory to industry, a strong sense of community, and encouraging instructors who cared about our success. Beyond lectures, participating in the Student Union, serving as a Student Ambassador, assuming leadership responsibilities as a student, and engaging in sports all significantly influenced my time at university and contributed to my personal and professional development.
Why did you join the course?
My enthusiasm for aviation and my curiosity about the inner workings of airports and airlines led me to enrol in the Airline and Airport Management course. In addition to being one of the best courses in the nation, the course caught my attention due to its practical focus, industry applicability, and emphasis on customer experience, operations, and innovation. I was aware that every area would be necessary for a career in aviation.
What did being named valedictorian mean to you personally?
For me, being chosen valedictorian was a really significant and humble accomplishment. It symbolised not only academic achievement but also my commitment, determination, and dedication to my education while juggling leadership responsibilities and professional experience. It was particularly fulfilling for me as a student and confirmed that hard work and persistence do pay off.
What helped you achieve this accomplishment?
Strong time management, perseverance, and a sincere love for my course were what enabled me to do this. I actively participated in lectures, made the most of academic help, and constantly looked for methods to get better. I learnt discipline, accountability, and how to function well under duress by participating in leadership positions like student trustee and school officer.
What advice would you give to students aiming for academic excellence?
I would advise students of BNU to maintain organisation, seek assistance when necessary, and never be scared to take on new challenges. Academic excellence is more about consistency, curiosity, and learning from criticism than it is about perfection. Participating in extracurricular activities also boosts your self-esteem and develops transferable skills that improve your academic achievement.
What skills developed during your studies have been most useful after graduating?
The most practical abilities I acquired while studying include stakeholder management, problem-solving, leadership, and communication. Additionally, the education improved my comprehension of customer experience and commercial awareness, both of which have been crucial in my leadership responsibilities as a student and in aviation.
What goals or aspirations are you currently working toward?
I'm currently attempting to establish a long-term career in the aviation sector with the goal of advancing into operational leadership or management positions. I want to make a significant contribution to aviation's future and am especially interested in enhancing customer experience through digital innovation, high-quality services, and sustainable practices. Currently, I have secured a role within the sector, waiting to start.
